Our commitment to advancing the industry is not just about sponsorship; it’s about active participation and leadership in landmark projects. Since 2021, we have been deeply involved in the renowned Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) Expansion Project, a project of significant impact in Virginia.
On this transformative project, Alava International serves as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M). Our dedicated team, consisting of five on-site members and two remote experts, is responsible for coordinating and supervising all I&M-related work.
A crucial part of our role involves analyzing and interpreting the vast amounts of data generated, ensuring it is ready for review by all key stakeholders, including HRCP (Hampton Roads Connector Partners) and VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation). This work is vital for the project’s safety, quality, and success.
